Overview:

As you increase your car's horsepower, the stock fuel system will eventually struggle to supply enough fuel to meet the engine's demand. This ultimately leads to a lean mixture condition, which can ring the death knell for your motor by causing detonation. When preparing to build horsepower, begin by installing this 255lph high pressure fuel pump, and forget about fuel delivery worries.

mc˛racing has done their homework prior to assembling this kit. This "high pressure" fuel pump can continue to supply it's rated volume as boost increases, which is necessary since the base fuel pressure is increased by the amount of boost that is being produced. There are 255lph pumps out there that cannot keep up with the increased pressures that exist in turbo applications! In addition to careful selection of the perfect pump, mc˛racing has packaged this pump with an XR4Ti-specific fuel pump installation kit. We're no longer stuck having to purchase the Mustang kit, throwing away half of it, and then still having to swing by the auto parts store for additional materials. This kit is ready-to-install.

Please note that we have a special policy regarding the return of Walbro pumps. We've shipped over a hundred of these fuel pump kits out, and two have been returned...both with broken outlet nipples. In one instance, an attempt had been made to epoxy the nipple back in position. Let me ask you this - if you received a fuel pump with an important part broken off during shipment, would you glue that part back on or ask for a replacement? We believe that these nipples were broken off while the fuel hose was being pushed on. That said, I'm not going to keep dumping the responsibility for this damage on UPS unless I know they're to blame. So, here's our policy. If you order a Walbro pump from us, we will pack the pump very well. If you receive the package, and it looks like the box was crushed, or you generally have a feeling that the pump could have been harmed, do not accept the package. If UPS leaves the package at your door, you can call them at 1-800-PICK-UPS to refuse the delivery. I'll happily ship you another one right away. If you accept delivery though, the Walbro is yours. Of course, Walbro's warranty is still good, so if there is an internal defect, then as always you're covered. Again, we've sent hundreds of these pumps out, and the only two returns we've ever had were under dubious circumstances. Now, what you should concern yourself with is ensuring that you push the fuel hose over the outlet nipple straight-on. Don't apply any force that isn't along the axis of the nipple. These Walbro pumps are not weak, so you shouldn't encounter a problem during install.
